Cookie Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026
This Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy explains how Firstdroop Technologies Limited (“Firstdroop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the Firstdroop website, application, and related services.
This Policy should be read together with the Firstdroop Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website.
We may also use similar technologies, including:
Software development kits (SDKs);
Local storage;
Pixels;
Device identifiers;
Web beacons;
Application logs;
Similar technologies used within mobile applications.
These technologies help us operate Firstdroop, remember preferences, understand how users interact with our services, improve security, and improve our products.
2. Strictly Necessary and Optional Technologies
We distinguish between strictly necessary technologies and optional technologies.
A. Strictly Necessary Technologies
Strictly necessary technologies are required to provide a service or feature that you have requested, operate Firstdroop, maintain security, or comply with a legal obligation. They may be used to:
Keep you signed in;
Maintain account sessions;
Authenticate users;
Protect accounts;
Prevent fraud and abuse;
Detect and respond to security incidents;
Maintain platform security and reliability;
Remember essential settings;
Process payments or other requested transactions;
Provide requested features;
Maintain application functionality;
Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
Where permitted by applicable law, our legal basis is that their use is necessary to provide a requested service or feature, perform our contractual obligations, pursue our legitimate interests in operating and securing Firstdroop, or comply with a legal obligation. We do not rely on consent where a strictly necessary technology is required for these purposes.
Strictly necessary technologies cannot normally be disabled through Firstdroop’s optional technology controls. You may be able to block them through your browser or device settings, but doing so may prevent Firstdroop from operating correctly.
B. Optional Technologies
Optional technologies are not required for Firstdroop’s core services. They may improve functionality, remember preferences, support analytics, help monitor performance, assist with optional security and fraud prevention, or measure marketing activities.
Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before using them. You may refuse or withdraw consent without losing access to Firstdroop’s core services, although some features, convenience, personalisation, monitoring, or measurement may be affected.
Our legal basis is generally your consent. Where applicable law permits another legal basis, we may rely on our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

Functional Technologies
Functional technologies help remember choices such as:
Language preferences;
Display preferences;
App or website settings;
Playback preferences;
Other choices made while using Firstdroop.
Where consent is required, the legal basis is your consent. A functional technology necessary to provide a feature you specifically request may instead be treated as strictly necessary.
If you reject functional technologies, core services remain available, but preferences may not be remembered and some features may be less convenient or personalised.
Analytics and Performance Technologies
We may use analytics technologies to understand how Firstdroop is used, including:
Pages or screens viewed;
Features used;
Premiere-related interactions;
Playback activity;
Session duration;
Device and operating system information;
Application performance;
Crash and error information;
General usage patterns.
We use this information to improve Firstdroop, identify technical problems, understand product performance, and develop new features.
Where required by law, our legal basis is your consent. Where consent is not required, we may rely on our legitimate interests in monitoring, securing, maintaining, and improving Firstdroop.
If you reject these technologies, core services remain available, but we may have less information for product improvement, performance measurement, troubleshooting, and usage analysis. Strictly necessary technical logs, crash information, or security records may still be collected where required for operation, security, or support.
Security and Fraud-Prevention Technologies
We may use technologies to identify:
Suspicious activity;
Unauthorised access;
Automated abuse;
Account takeover attempts;
Fraudulent transactions;
Attempts to bypass platform restrictions.
Technologies necessary to protect Firstdroop, its users, or our systems are strictly necessary and may operate without consent on the legal bases described above. If a security or fraud-prevention technology is not necessary for operation or security, we will treat it as optional and request consent where required by law.
Rejecting optional security or fraud-prevention technologies may reduce our ability to detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, or protect accounts from certain risks. Strictly necessary security technologies will continue to operate.
Marketing Technologies
Where applicable and permitted by law, Firstdroop may use technologies to measure promotional campaigns and marketing activities, including:
Whether an advertisement or promotional link was accessed;
General campaign performance;
Website or application interactions following a campaign.
Where required by law, our legal basis is your consent. You may refuse or withdraw consent without affecting access to Firstdroop’s core services.
If you reject these technologies, we will not use them for the optional marketing measurement purposes covered by your choice. You may still see Firstdroop advertisements or promotional communications, but they may be less relevant and harder for us to measure. This does not automatically unsubscribe you from direct marketing communications; manage those separately using the unsubscribe or preference controls provided or by contacting us.
3. Managing Technologies and Consent
You may accept or reject optional technologies, select categories, withdraw consent, and change your preferences at any time through the Firstdroop preference center.
Select “Cookie Settings,” “Privacy Settings,” “Manage Cookies,” or an equivalent link in the website footer, menu, account settings, or privacy settings area. If you cannot access the preference center, contact privacy@firstdroop.com.
The preference center may show available categories, their purposes, whether they are strictly necessary or optional, your current choices, and controls to accept, reject, or modify optional categories.
You may select “Accept All,” “Reject All Optional,” or individual categories, then choose “Save Preferences,” “Confirm Choices,” or an equivalent control. Strictly necessary technologies will normally remain enabled and cannot be switched off through the preference center.
Your choices may be stored in a cookie, local storage, account setting, or similar record. If you use Firstdroop on multiple browsers, devices, or application installations, update your preferences separately in each environment. Clearing cookies, deleting local storage, reinstalling the application, changing devices, using private browsing, or resetting your device may remove the stored preference and require a new choice.
Your updated choices apply to future use of relevant optional technologies, subject to technical limitations. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out lawfully before withdrawal or require deletion of information that must be retained or processed for security, legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or other lawful purposes.
You may also delete cookies through your browser or device settings. This does not necessarily delete information already collected or stored by Firstdroop or a third party. To request deletion of personal information, contact us using Section 11 or exercise your rights under the Firstdroop Privacy Policy.
4. Mobile Application Technologies
Because Firstdroop is also a mobile application, some technologies may operate differently from website cookies.
Our application may use SDKs and similar technologies for:
Authentication;
Notifications;
Analytics;
Crash reporting;
Security;
Content delivery;
Audio and media functionality;
Payment functionality;
Application performance;
Feature management.
Technologies necessary for authentication, security, core functionality, or a requested feature may be strictly necessary. Analytics, advertising, personalisation, and other non-essential SDK functions are optional where applicable law requires consent.
You may manage optional application tracking or advertising permissions through the Firstdroop preference center and, where applicable, your device’s operating-system settings. Device-level controls may affect more than Firstdroop and may not replace a choice made in the preference center. Disabling a permission may reduce functionality.
These technologies may process device and technical information as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Camera and Microphone
Cookies and tracking technologies are separate from Firstdroop’s camera and microphone permissions.
Where a feature requires camera or microphone access, the application will request permission through your device’s operating system.
Microphone access during a live premiere is governed by the Firstdroop Privacy Policy. We do not use cookies to secretly activate your device’s microphone or camera.
6. Third-Party Technologies
Some Firstdroop features may rely on third-party providers using cookies, SDKs, pixels, or similar technologies for:
Analytics;
Cloud infrastructure;
Authentication;
Payment processing;
Security;
Customer support;
Communications;
Application performance monitoring;
Content delivery.
Technologies necessary to provide a requested service, operate Firstdroop, process payments, or maintain security may be strictly necessary. Other technologies, including those used for analytics, advertising, personalisation, or campaign measurement, are optional where applicable law requires consent.
Third parties may process information under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations with Firstdroop. Where we rely on your consent, withdrawing it will prevent or limit future use by Firstdroop, but will not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
7. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers provide “Do Not Track” or similar signals.
Because there is no universally accepted technical standard for responding to every such signal, Firstdroop may not respond to all browser-based Do Not Track signals.
Where applicable law requires a particular response to a recognised privacy signal, we will comply with the applicable requirements.
8. Retention
Cookie and tracking information may be retained for different periods depending on its purpose.
Strictly necessary information may be retained as long as necessary to operate Firstdroop, maintain security, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Optional analytics and similar information is generally retained for up to 13 months from collection unless a shorter period is required or a different period is necessary for security, legal, technical, or operational reasons.
You may have a right to request deletion or restriction under applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
9. International Transfers
Some third-party technology providers may process information outside Nigeria.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, Firstdroop will apply appropriate safeguards as required by applicable data protection law.
Further information is provided in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect:
Changes to Firstdroop’s technology;
New features;
Changes to third-party services;
Changes in applicable law;
Changes to our privacy practices.
When we update this Policy, we will change the “Last Updated” date.

Where required, Firstdroop may display a cookie or privacy preference notice allowing you to:
☐ Accept optional cookies and similar technologies
☐ Reject optional cookies and similar technologies
☐ Manage preferences by category

Rejecting optional technologies will not affect access to Firstdroop’s core services, but may reduce convenience, personalisation, analytics, performance monitoring, optional security or fraud prevention, or marketing measurement, depending on the categories rejected.
Strictly necessary technologies required to operate Firstdroop, provide requested services, maintain security, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations may continue to operate when optional technologies are rejected or consent is withdrawn.
Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. It will limit future use of the relevant optional technologies, subject to technical limitations and information that must be retained or processed for another lawful purpose.
